Within this post, we’ll be breaking down all five of Illinois’ 11 Division-I programs and their incoming 2019 recruiting classes, from both in-state and out-of-state perspectives. Thirty of the state’s top seniors will be sticking around their home state to pursue baseball at the next level. We’ll be breaking things down, program by program, in-depth below.

The Bradley Braves are bringing in an interesting collection of talent within their 2019 recruiting class. After committing three Wisconsin prospects within the state’s top 40 last year, they’ve successfully corralled three more prospects from the Badger State into their latest recruiting class. All three of the aforementioned are within the state’s top-25 board: INF Bennett Frazer (Oconto), RHP Braden Mork (River Falls), and 3B Dylan Krumrei (Oshkosh North). These three are capable of becoming early contributors to Head Coach Elvis Dominguez’s roster next fall. More locally, Bradley is bringing in Dunlap’s Taylor Catton, a stocky, compact righty who has been up to 88 mph in front of our staff in the past. He’s coming off a phenomenal season for a strong Dunlap team, featuring a robust pitching staff that’s returning for the most part this spring. Minnesota's Peter Hansen (Duluth Marshall) is a legitimate two-way talent with the ability to help Bradley on both sides off the ball as soon as he steps in Peoria. He wields a strong right-handed bat with some low-lying juice and has reportedly been up to 91 mph on the mound.

Their top overall recruit from this class may, however, be the outfielder from Indiana, Carson Husmann (South Central). Husmann is the No. 7-ranked prospect in the state’s senior class who looks to be an impact bat at the next level – he has the bat strength and bat speed to make a loud debut within the Missouri Valley Conference in the spring of 2020.
