LHP/OF Hayden Peterson (Batavia, 2026) is an upside southpaw to keep an eye on in the freshman class. While not the big velo that we may have seen out of others at this event, Peterson has a clean and easy 79-82 mph fastball that flashes cut properties with above average spin on both his fastball and slider at 2400 rpm.
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 5-9, 153-pounds.
Delivery: Rotational delivery with some repeatability, slides into the third base side of rubber, lands square.
Arm Action: LH. Full arm path, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T82, 79-82 mph. Mostly straight, occasional cut action. T2582, 2480 average rpm.
SL: 67-70 mph. Slightly lower slot, above average spin creates sweeping action. T2492, 2397 average rpm.
CH: 69-71 mph. Gets fade action with above average feel. T1942, 1818 average rpm.
