Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 21 in the state, presenting an athletic and loose-bodied 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame. Eggert got the start for the Celtics in the State Semifinal matchup and continued to show to be one of the top remaining uncommitted arms in the state. He pitched with a ton of moxie and confidence, while keeping his composure when his team needed him most; most notably escaping a bases loaded jam in a tie game in the bottom of the sixth. The righty worked with a three-pitch arsenal, working all offerings in and around the zone. His fastball played with occasional run at 84-87 mph, holding velo throughout the outing. Eggert would also toss in a cutter at 79-83 to miss right-handed barrels to induce groundballs. His go-to secondary offering was a 75-78 mph slider that played in the zone with sharp break for swing and miss. Eggert turned in a final line of: W, 7 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 6 K.
5/01/24
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 24 in the state. Trim, athletic build that stands in at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. The left-handed hitter continues to perform in front of our staff, finishing the day with a backspin single up the middle, an RBI and a run scored. Relaxed setup with his hands, hangs foot with a high leg-kick for timing, unloads from launch position with a direct path. Quality feel for the barrel with the ability to cover the plate.

Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 24 in the state. 6-foot-1 190-pound frame, athletic with some present strength, still has room to add more. Started on the mound and hit out of the leadoff spot for the Celtics. The right-hander threw the ball well over his six innings of work, sitting 88 mph early with the fastball and working both in and out to both-handed hitters, settling in around 85-87 mph throughout the rest of the game. He went to a firm slider at 75-77 mph, playing with lateral action and also setting up a cutter at 79-80, thrown with intent and a short horizontal wrinkle. Flashed a changeup with feel for the zone at 80-83 mph. At the plate, the left-handed hitter took numerous quality at-bats, recording two singles on the day and a walk. He has a mature presence in the box, taking pitches out of the zone with confidence and intent, his hands are quick and allow the ball to get deep, flicking the barrel through the zone with ease and taking a fastball up in the zone the other way for a single. High-follow two-way prospect to know in the state.

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 24 in the state. The high-waisted and athletic 6-foot-1, 190-pound two-way shined on both sides of the ball for the Celtics on Thursday. He started on the mound and tossed a complete game shutout, striking out nine over his six innings of work while only allowing five hits and one walk. Eggert is a fluid mover on the mound with an athletic arm path to pair. He got ahead of batters with his fastball that played in the 84-86 mph range (T87) and held there throughout his start. He mixed in a cutter to miss barrels at 80-84 mph, while using a sharp 74-76 mph slider for swing and miss when he needed it. Offensively he batted out of the leadoff spot for the Celtics and got on-base three times, going 1-for-1 with a triple, two walks, two RBI, and two runs scored. The left-handed hitter has a calm setup in the box with minimal pre-pitch movement. He uses a medium leg-kick load onto his backside while keeping his hands inside the baseball with an on-plane swing allowing for repeated hard contact. The two-way prospect will be a name to continue to monitor on a very talented Providence Catholic team.
3/28/24
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 24 in the state. Athletic and projectable 6-foot-1, 178-pound frame, room to add on strength in the coming years. Came out of the ‘pen and showed some high-level stuff for the Celtics, moving with a loose/flexible operation down the mound, gaining ground in-line easily before transitioning into a loose, ¾ release with acceleration out front. His fastball played in the 85-88 mph range with some run to his arm-side, setting up a sharp, sweeping breaking ball at 74 mph and fading changeup at 79 mph, thrown with fastball arm-speed. High-upside arm to know in the state.
9/23/23
RHP Cooper Eggert (Providence Catholic, 2025) gave a polished look over the weekend. Feel for a three-pitch mix, starting with a fastball in the 84-86 mph range with around 2300 RPM. Clear confidence in his changeup, thrown often and with deceptive arm-speed, 75-80 mph with dive to the arm-side. Also went to a sweeping breaking ball in the low-70s that he threw to both right and left-handed hitters.
9/20/23
RHP/OF Cooper Eggert (Providence Catholic, 2025) should be a high-follow on the mound and with his potent left-handed swing. He continues to wear the uniform well at 6-foot-1, 180-pound and carries himself with quiet confidence on the field. On day one he stood out on the mound where he works with a fluid, clean operation and filled up the zone with an 84-87 mph fastball. He also showed a tight breaking ball that is an above-average secondary offering. He also continued to look the part at the plate where he has fluid movement patterns, stays on-plane with natural uphill lift throughout and was on time.
7/18/23

Physically, Eggert really looks the part in a uniform, boasting a presently strong 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame with plenty of room to add on. He averaged 87.4 mph per batted ball, reaching a max exit velocity of 96.4 mph and peak distance of 346 feet, per TrackMan. Eggert is also a follow on the mound, pitching in the low-80s at this event with feel to spin a 2300+ RPM breaking ball.
