Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, strength throughout with a developed lower-half. Flexible movement patterns, high leg-lift into balance point, works down the mound with a tall/fall operation, high front side, loose and athletic finish. Long arm path that works down out of the glove, high ¾ slot. Fastball plays with some carry through the zone at 83-86 mph, routinely keeping it to his glove-side throughout his ‘pen. The slider plays with 11/5 shape and depth, landing it for strikes consistently at 70-72 mph. Changeup is a quality third offering, showing fading action to his arm-side while also keeping it around the zone, 73-75 mph.
Rock Valley JC commit. Stands in at a high-waisted 6-foot-1, 172-pounds and got the start for the Mustangs, tossing a complete game and earning the win. McGrath pounded the zone and attacked hitters throughout the game. His fastball worked in the 80-84 mph range, inducing weak contact and playing effectively at the top of the zone. His main go-to secondary offering was an upper 60’s 11/5 curveball that kept the Caravan hitters off balance. Final line: W, CG, 7 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 ER, 6 K.

RHP Christian McGrath (St. Rita, 2024) is a 6-foot, loose-armed follow in the state’s junior class. Up to an 84 mph high, McGrath has an efficient four-seamer that works well alongside a short, 12/6 type breaking ball, and he has a deceptive changeup thrown at arm speed that fades hard arm-side.

Body: 6-0, 172-pounds. Some present strength, developed lower-half.
Delivery: High leg lift into a coiled balance, drop/drive lower-half that works in-line.
