Christian Brothers University commit. Currently ranked No. 116 in the Illinois senior class. Lanky, long-limbed 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Hit out of the five-spot in the Vikings’ order, started at third base, and also pitched in relief. Tallied a hit in his two final at-bats, each of which went to the pull-side, including a loud backspun barrel in his final plate appearance. Quality, sure-handed defender at third base with a loose, strong arm and accurate throws across the diamond. Capable of providing above-average defensive production there at the next level. Was the final relief arm used by Homewood-Flossmoor in this contest; entered the game in the fifth inning. Worked exclusively from the stretch with a simple repeatable operation downhill, long stride to footstrike, lands slightly closed off from target and finished square. Short compact arm draw from the glove, high ¾ slot. Fastball topped at 90 mph early, sat 87-89 mph, played primarily down in the zone and induced consistent groundball contact. Mixed in a low-70s slurvey-type breaking ball for strikes as well. Looks to be an essential two-way contributor for Homewood-Flossmoor as the season rolls on.

Faoro uses a curveball that showed sharp action with tight spin, thrown confidently and at arm speed, revving max spin rate over 2,700 rpm. Faoro is just as interesting, if not more so, as an infielder. Faoro has a lean upside frame and advanced infield actions, ranging around with extreme ease; he plays with above-average body control, ultra-confident soft hands and a smooth clean release with the ability to throw from any angle and put it on the first baseman consistently. His 77 mph max infield velocity plays up due to his internal clock, quick release, and accurate arm. Faoro also showed off a loose right-handed swing and came away as one of the biggest winners from the event.

Uncommitted, currently ranked 184 in Illinois, 6-foot-2, 175-pound, slender, long limbed, wide shoulder, athletic build. Faoro has been a super utility player for the Vikings. Offensively stands tall the box with his hands held high; short stride, short swing, very direct with barrel; unfazed by velocity. Line drive, gap to gap approach; flashed power to the pull side. Defensively has soft hands; quick feet; above average arm. Throws from multiple slots; very accurate with carry and plenty of strength for the left-side of the diamond. Instincts allow him to be an above average defender anywhere in the infield. High-follow uncommitted 2022.
