True sophomore. 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame, evenly proportioned strength throughout. Hill gave one of the more impressive looks on the entire day, showcasing loud tools across the board. He started his day by running a 6.77 in the 60-yard dash, long/athletic strides, moves extremely well for his size. The right-handed hitter has easy strength in his bat, reaching up to 104.4 mph for his max EV with an average of 99.8 mph, also reaching up to 391’ for his max distance with an average distance of 340’. He creates well above-average bat-speed, averaging 77.8 mph and topping out at 82.3 mph. In the outfield, Hill has steady hands and plays athletically through the ball, reaching up to 97 mph from a crow hop.  

Large, long-framed athlete who offers a power/speed package. Plus runner with quick feet, ran a 6.93 sixty, but not his best time. Solid off the line acceleration. At 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, Hill has big power potential at the plate with elite hand speed of 27 mph max and a top exit velocity was 102 mph during BP. The farthest batted ball was 392’. Fluid BP swing with good lift. Game swing was off-time and out of sync. Aggressive defender with above average arm strength (89 mph) from the outfield, but below average accuracy.

2019 Future Games: 6-foot-3, 198-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder; long-limbed, projectable frame with broad shoulders that could handle plenty of added strength moving forward. High-ceiling prospect who continues to take strides in his game. Offensively, balanced, quiet setup, short leg-lift trigger and minimal wasted movement. Simple swing, loose, quick hands, creates bat speed and whip with little effort. Short bat path, gap-to-gap approach, easy power and ball jumps off the barrel. 88 mph exit velocity during workout day (has been 97 mph in the past). Went 2-for-3 in game two with a sharp line-drive single to left field and an infield hit. 7.13 runner in the 60, laser-timed. Aggressive on the basepaths. Looked to steal anytime he got on base. Finished the week with three stolen bases. Defensively, continues to improve in the outfield. Clean, easy actions, steady hands and clean release. Arm is strong and works from an over-the-top slot. Gets true four-seam carry on throws, topped at 87 mph. High-ceiling 2021 outfielder.

Defense: Soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, plays through the baseball. Athleticism shows well in the field.
Run: 7.17 runner in the 60. 

Currently ranked No. 62 in the IL 2021 class. 6-foot-3, 198-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic build that projects, broad shoulders, seems to have tacked on 10 pounds of muscle over the spring season. Hit sixth and played right-field in the Regional Semifinal game against Mt. Carmel, finished with an offensive line: 1-for-3, 2B, R, SB. Even setup, smooth load, short stride. Fluid bat path with some length, works on an uphill plane, more of a bat strength type. Hit his line drive double to his opposite field gap, 4.76 on the turn. Caught the only ball hit his way in right field. Follow 2021 prospect.

6-foot-3, 195-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder; athletic-build, highly-projectable with plenty of room for added strength. Continues to grow into his body. Offensively, balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and maintains balance through contact. Quick hands, fast bat, works level through the zone, gets extension at times, gap-to-gap approach and fluid rhythm throughout. 97 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, natural outfield actions, quick active feet, steady hands, works through the baseball, clean transfer. Long, firm over-the-top arm action and throws topped at 84 mph. 7.19 runner in the 60, laser-timed.

7.23.18 - 6-foot-2, 172-pound outfielder, lean athletic frame that projects. Right-handed hitter, tall setup, short stride. Loose athletic levers, path works slightly uphill, hits in rhythm with bat speed. 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm action is long, over the top slot, 84 mph from the outfield, flashed carry. Plays through the baseball aggressively, clean exchange. 4.88 runner down the line.

5.24.18 - 6-foot-2, 172-pound, right-handed hitting first baseman, long-limbed, thin frame, plenty of room for continued physical development. Freshman seems to have grown taller since the start of this season. Has played outfield but started at first base for the Broncos hitting in the eight hole. Worked a 9-pitch at-bat in his second plate appearance eventually lining an RBI single down the third base line. Long, easy strides out of the box. Balanced setup at the plate, wrap load, leg lift trigger. Long, uphill bat path, loose hands, pull side tendencies. Defensively didn’t see much action, but arm is loose, full arm swing, clean over the top slot.

1.15.18 - 6-foot, 160-pound, athletically built, projectable, right-handed hitting outfielder. At the plate, balanced setup, smooth load, gets separation, short stride and good balance through contact. Confident in the box, flashed present bat speed, gap-to-gap approach and fluid rhythm throughout. 81 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, natural outfield actions, plays through the baseball, steady hands. Long, firm, over-the-top arm action and throws topped at 79 mph. 7.53 runner in the 60, laser-timed.
