Parkland Scout Day: Strong-framed 6-foot-2, 195 pound right-hander. Fastball showed good carry to the plate at 88-90 mph and above average, efficient spin from a high 3/4 release point. Dropped hand a bit on 74-78 mph slider, spinning in the 2600 rpm range, but backing up and consistently missing up/armside. Limited feel for straight 78-80 mph changeup as third pitch.

8/7/18 - 6-foot-2, 178-pound, right-handed hitting multi-positional player, well-proportioned, athletic build. At the plate, tall, open setup, smooth load, lower half coils to leg kick trigger. Loose, rhythmic hands, short and direct to the baseball, line drive ability to both gaps, ball came off hard, fluid rhythm involved. Fast bat speed, exit velocity topped 89 mph from a tee. In the outfield, quick, fluid footwork, soft hands, exchanges are quick and clean, naturally plays through the baseball. Arm is short and loose, quick arm speed, high ¾ slot, ball comes out firm, throws topped 87 mph from the outfield. Longer transfer and release in the infield, hands work, can range to glove side, showed arm strength, throws topped 85 mph across the infield. 7.37 runner in the 60.

2.11.18 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, infielder, high-waisted, athletic build with lean strength. Right-handed hitter, starts open, stride gets back to even and takes an aggressive hack. Athletic, loose hands, flashed bat speed, extension through contact and works gap-to-gap; 96 mph exit velocity. Defensively, reliable hands, ball gets deep at times, long, loose arm action, high ¾ slot and clocked at 83 mph across the diamond. 7.32 runner in the 60, laser-timed.

1.27.18 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, athletically built, high waisted, multi-positional prospect. Has made significant strides since our last look. Right-handed hitter, open setup, stride gets back to even and stays balanced throughout. Aggressive swing, loose hands and creates bat speed. Fluid rhythm, long bat path and gap-to-gap approach; 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, actions play best in the outfield. Athletic actions, works through the baseball, transfer is quick and directional. Long arm action, high ¾ slot and throws topped at 83 mph. Throws clocked at 82 mph across the diamond. 7.41 runner in the 60.

1.17.16 - 5-foot-9, 162-pound, right-handed hitting 3B/RHP. Offensively hits from an upright, slightly closed stance. Short load to backside with a toe tap stride. Line drive hitter with a long swing path. 78 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 8.26. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top arm slot. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Accurate throws with slower actions. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall, online delivery with good balance throughout. Fastball flashed cutting action at 68-72 topping out at 73 mph. Curveball spun at 51-54 mph. Changeup sat 58-64 mph.

8/5/15 - Solid lower half 5-foot-9, 160-pound infielder and right-handed hitter. Offensively, flashed some rhythm throughout swing. Closed, tall setup. Slight pre-pitch load, short stride and linear lower half. Long, uphill swing path. Registered an 80 mph exit velocity. Defensively, quick exchange on the infield. Short arm action, over-the-top slot with some accuracy. Clocked at 69 mph across the infield.
