C/INF Brady Klepfer (Huntley, 2026) popped as a name to know from Saturday after showing well in multiple different areas. On the mound, the 6-foot, 175-pound right-hander cruised in the 86-87 mph range, controlling it around the zone with some carry and finish. He showed feel for his curveball at 78-79 mph, spinning over 2,300 RPM at times with some depth. He also featured a heavy running changeup with over 15” of horizontal action at times, sitting around 79-81 mph. Offensively, Klepfer has quick hands through the zone with controlled aggression, staying flat with his path and working on the barrel up the middle of the field. His round of defense was one of the better on the day, displaying athletic actions with feel for the infield, working with body control into a clean release to pair with a strong arm (T89 mph). Behind the plate, he’s a confident receiver of the baseball that works to present pitches around the zone. Clean transfer that works in-line to second, athletic out of the crouch, recorded a top pop-time of 1.87 with a top velocity of 79 mph. Intriguing two-way follow moving forward.

RHP Brady Klepfer (Huntley) came away a winner from Saturday’s showcase with his strong showing on the mound. Listed at 5-foot-10, 163-pounds, Klepfer still has plenty of room for added strength and development in the coming years. On the mound, the right-hander works with a controlled tempo and simple delivery, using a medium leg-lift into balance point before shifting into a drop/drive lower-half, striding in-line with the plate. His fastball sat in the 81-82 mph range, topping out at 83 mph with finish through the zone. He flipped in his curveball at 71-73 mph, playing with tight/sharp 11/5 shape and some feel for the zone. The right-hander works from an over-the-top slot while moving down the mound with an athletic drop/drive lower-half. His fastball sat mainly 74-75 mph, topping at 76, with ride through the zone and notable arm-side life. Klepfer then displayed feel for a breaking ball in the 63-65 mph range, playing off an 11/5 plane with near-fastball arm-speed. With advanced feel for a fading changeup thrown at 64-66 mph, the right-hander’s complete arsenal was one of the best in attendance. Klepfer also made a statement with his right-handed bat. During his round of BP he was making loud, hard contact throughout his round with a level path that stays through the zone a long time.
