True freshman. 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, compact build with lean strength. Dodson works with a slightly up-tempo delivery, moving athletically downhill and into release. He worked his fastball in the 88-89 mph range, topping out at 89.8 mph with some carry through the zone. His curveball showed depth off an 11/5 plane, thrown with arm-speed at 72-73 mph (2300+ RPM). His slider was thrown with similar intent at 73-75 mph, playing with more 10/4 shape. His final offering was a changeup at 80-83 mph with over 11” of run.
