Uncommitted. 6-foot-6, 225-pound right-handed pitcher, XL frame with considerable strength throughout, one of the top pitching prospects in the state and country. An imposing force on the mound, does a good job of keeping his arm short on the backside given the side of his frame, arm works clean with quick arm speed out front to a ¾ slot. Fastball sat 86-90 with heavy running action, consistently in the zone with, ran under the hands of right-handed hitters. Has two breaking balls, a slider and curveball. Slider is the better of the two pitches but opted to use his curveball more often in this outing. Curveball came in at 73 with depth and 12/6 shape. Slider is a present swing and miss pitch while the curveball has the potential to get to that level.

6-foot-6, 230-pound right-handed pitcher, has the physicality often unseen for a prospect his age, strong, tree stump like legs, large upper body, will only continue to add strength and firm entire frame up, one of the top prospects in Georgia’s Class of 2022. Arm action is long and loose, clean on the back-side, accelerates with little effort to ¾ slot. Drop and drive delivery, remains tall, utilizing his height well, works on-line towards home from the third base side of the rubber, finishes with a near cross over. Fastball sat 82-84 on the day, has been up to 89 earlier in the fall, so there is plenty more in the tank for him to tap into, slight run action. Curveball, 12/6 shape, sharp action at-times, 68-70. Changeup, maintains fastball arm speed, flashed sink and heavy fade, 71-74.
9/27/19
A big-bodied 6-foot-6, 210 pounds; strong throughout and has advanced feel for already large frame. One of the top underclassmen of the event, West showed his dominant arsenal with a primary two-pitch-mix. Has a calm delivery up to balance-point, works downhill after separation; lands on-line. Throws from a H3/4 slot and arm speed is aggressive and quick. Fastball showed heavy, late life at 86-89. Advanced command for fastball; spotted up, armside, on running 2-seam. Showed ability to throw on the inner-half of the plate to RHH and run fastball away from lefties. Worked around baserunners and competed well in high-leverage situations. Showed feel for breaking ball with 11/5 shape at 70-72. Sure to be a highly sought-after arm in the 2022 class.
