Uncommitted. 6-foot, 170 pounds. This is one of the most exciting players I’ve seen all spring, and what a gamer he is. Daly’s plus speed plays even better in game, with both a lightning quick first step and blurry top end speed that makes him a force both offensively and defensively. Combine that with his instincts on the grass and rocket arm? You’ve got one of the best defenders in the state at a premium defensive position. He showed fluid hips to make plays over his head, in the gaps, and in front of him. Daly’s perfect strike to home that had a runner hosed by 10 feet showed a current A/AVG arm on the pro scale. He made another great throw to 3B later in the game for a putout. Offensively, he’s the perfect contact oriented table setter. But as he showed vs the Bulldogs, he has some big time gap pop. His proportional lean muscled frame is only going to get stronger, and his fast twitch fibers will only get more twitchy. Jamie’s 3 infield hits were the stuff of legend and all 3 home to 1st times were plus, with the first one being a ++ time. Were talking some pretty elite speed here, and he wreaks absolute havoc on the basepaths. Not only did he swipe a bag, but would of had more if he didn’t take 4 extra bases from bad throws his speed caused! Not only does he fly, but he hustles with 100% effort every chance he gets, so his speed never takes a pitch off. His athletic forward move and smooth swing mechanics match plane well and create natural loft. This is a player who will stack doubles and triples to add some real value in the power production category. What a perfect table setter for the Wolfpack, a guy who gets on base consistently and impacts the game in all facets.
