Georgia Tech Commit. Vicens has continued to impress on the mound throughout his Junior campaign. Jamie was dominant in his start in game 2 of the Sweet 16 against a strong Glynn Academy, going 6 scoreless innings and being effective with all three pitches. Vicens ran the FB up to 91 multiple times while settling in at 87-90 with easy velo out of the hand. Vicens had strong secondary pitches with the CB and CH being effective with both pitches to both RHH and LHH. Vicens shows strong pitch ability with being able to throw any pitch in any count and working both sides of the plate well. Vicens will continue to improve into the summer and will be a strong arm for Georgia Tech out of the 2025 class.

Georgia Tech Commit. Vicens had a strong outing in game 2 of a big region series against St. Pius tossing 5 innings. Vicens showed a lively FB up to 89 with strong movement arm side out of a lower arm slot. Jamie showed good command of the FB to both sides of the plate and was able to get hitters to chase above the zone. Vicens showed a strong CB off of the FB that had good depth to it. He was able to throw for strikes and get hitters to chase down and out of the zone. Vicens flashed a low 80’s CH with good fade to add a third pitch to his arsenal.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. I had hoped to get some good video on this impressive follow, but the Marist staff were on pitch limits for their tourney in FL so he only threw 1 INN. But what I did see visually was wildly impressive. Vicens dominated the zone vertically with a riding FB in the 85-86 T87 range, and it definitely played up when elevated. The pitch got 4 in zone whiffs in just one inning! He throws a big 11-5 breaker off that elevated heater in the low 70’s and it has consistent shape. The lanky righty landed the pitch for strikes consistently, keeping the middle of the Titans lineup off his FB. Although we didn’t get him on film, this is now a serious follow for the 2025 class and is trending up rankings wise.
