As always, the evaluation process is a fluid and ongoing process with multiple viewings in order to get the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that as players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace. That doesn’t indicate that other players got worse or went backwards, it’s just how player development works. As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the PBR rankings universe. In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts, both those in Georgia and nationally, have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and then make adjustments based on what we've each seen.

The Top 10

Ty Peeples OF / Franklin County, GA / 2025

Yet another national rankings update with the Georgia commit coming in as the top outfielder in the country as well continuing to hold the top spot here in the Peach State. Peeples is the definition of a pure hitter with excellent bat-to-ball and barrel accuracy from the left-side buoyed by advanced pitch recognition. Equipped with a laundry bag of swings to match plane in nearly every part of the zone, Peeples shows impressive mobility in his lower half with a strong ability to stay balanced in the back hip at all times and creating high-level hip to shoulder separation. Present whip and heaviness in the barrel that generates hard-hit contact at high clip, and answered some questions showing really well against quality pitching this summer after coming into the summer circuit with slight concerns if the outfielder could get to his power regularly. The ability to turn and carry the ball to the pull-side has grown leaps and bounds this summer, and now flashing a chance at above-average raw power to match the already strong hit tool. Sneaky athleticism in the outfield where the long strides cover ground with ease backed by advanced routes and tracking. Showed some ability to play centerfield in 2024, and the 2x Prep Baseball All-American can take his profile to even higher level by proving that’s his long-term home over the next 12 months. There’s plenty of polish in Peeples' game, but the ceiling could be a day one talent in next summer’s MLB Draft.

Reid Worley RHP / Cherokee, GA / 2025

Going back to January at Preseason All-State and even going way before that at the 2021 Junior Future Games, the development for Worley has been both consistent and impressive as the Kennesaw State commit has grown into the top pitcher in Georgia’s 2025 class. Lean and athletic at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Worley offers a premium blend of projection and pitchability that’s highlighted by one of the best breaking balls in the country. Showing effortless ability to repeat a low three-quarters slot from both the windup and the stretch while filling up the zone with three pitches. Fastball presently lives 89-91 with ability to hold deep into outings and reach back for more at times. The velocity has steadily increased over the last 12 months, and there will be even more to project going forward. There’s consistent sink and run that will create in-zone misses and called strikes alike. As mentioned before, the sweeper could be a plus pitch right now. Operating at 81-85 while averaging 15 inches of horizontal break and ability to snap off 18+” at times. Plus-plus feel to spin, averaging 3100 RPM while touching over 3300 on multiple occasions this summer that's paired with above-average command that allows Worley to have the confidence to throw in any count while generating whiffs at will. Not to be bullish, but it’s a similar pitch to 2021 1st round pick Jackson Jobe coming out of high school. What has become a big part of Worley’s huge 2024 has been the development of the changeup. Working in the low-80s with good arm-side fade and flashing command to land to both sides of the plate. Shown ability to land R/R but can be a put-away pitch to lefties out of the same fastball tunnel. The 2024 Prep Baseball All-American checks many boxes on what you look for in a high school starting pitcher and could be one of the best right-handed pitchers in the country when it's all said and done with real MLB Draft aspirations.

Cannon Goldin OF / Buford High School, GA / 2025

A model of consistency as always, the Ole Miss commit was able to put together a strong showing throughout the summer after battling some slight injuries in the spring. Simple left-handed cut has no wasted movements in an efficient path to the ball. Advanced ability to manipulate the barrel throughout the zone allows Goldin to spoil good pitches in an all-fields approach. There's some solid raw pop that will flash at times, showing the ability to create easy loft to the pull-side while tapping into his physical lower half without selling out. The profile will be hit over power always where Goldin’s 6.5 speed can thrive working foul pole to foul pole but the chance for 50+ power is present. An aggressive defender in centerfield where the football mentality plays way up in attacking balls in all directions with confidence and a truly explosive first step. Present plus arm strength with carry and accuracy paired with the athleticism allows Goldin to be a potential impact defender at the next level. The floor continues to rise for Goldin with multiple 50+ tools showing and will be looking to make a statement in a few weeks at the 2024 Prep Baseball All-American Game after missing last year with an injury.

John Stuetzer SS / Pope High School, GA / 2025

One of the top power/speed threats in the class, Stuetzer continues to find himself firmly in the Top 5 after another impressive summer campaign. What really stood out for Stuetzer this year is the development of the overall hit tool, which could have an above-average ceiling. Active hands work well through the zone showing huge bat speed and ability to get the barrel head out front in a tight turn to generate consistent hard contact. The Florida State commit shows above-average raw power in the tank with ability to carry balls to center and pull-side where the strength and twitch shine. Maybe the most impactful part of the profile for Stuetzer is the game changing speed. True plus runner, putting down sub-6.4 60 times this summer as well as multiple sub-11.0 home-to-third times from explosive foot speed and ability to reach top speed quickly. A very willing runner on the base paths who constantly puts immense pressure on teams with a confidence to take any base he wants. A shortstop by nature, the growth for the talented two-sport athlete in center field this summer was one of the more impressive things I saw this year. A plus athlete with instinctual route running and speed to track any balls without effort, Stuetzer looked as natural as they come with real flashes of the ability to stick long-term. Overall it’s 90+ arm strength from both short and the outfield with twitch and flexibility, and it’s not hard to see a potential plus defender up-the-middle in the future. This is a strong profile for  Stuetzer, and fits in that bucket that pro teams value extremely high coming out of high school.

Josh Gibbs SS / Forsyth Central, GA / 2025

Pound for pound, there isn’t anyone in Georgia’s 2025 class who maximizes his frame like Josh GIbbs and does so with highly impressive production. With a wiry, lean frame, the Georgia commit shows loud tools both with the bat and in the field. Showing obvious moving parts at the plate with active hands and a big leg kick, Gibbs has an innate ability to to get synced up and on-time while letting his hands fire through the zone with massive intent. Lives on the barrel with ability to match planes well and generate triple-digit exit velocities regularly by creating immense force working from the ground up. The hit/power combo is presently among the best in the state, and can both have a chance to be 55 grade tools. As a shortstop, Gibbs has quality lateral actions and soft hands that are strengthened by a present plus arm that lives in the low-90s across the diamond with carry. The potential to stick at short is legitimate with tools to profile both at second and center field as well that only improves the defensive ceiling. Gibbs will need to continue to show the potent stick to maximize the profile to pro scouts, but hitters hit and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Terrance Bowen SS / BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, GA / 2025

The 2023 Future Gamer came into this scorching hot and just never looked back with huge performances seemingly every weekend. Quiet actions at the plate and advanced feel for the zone allow the Oklahoma State commit to showcase the plus raw power that has started to translate tremendously into all-fields power in-game. With a line-drive bat path and extremely quick hands, Bowen is a tremendous fastball hitter with the bat speed to get the barrel out front anywhere in the zone and an aptitude to do damage even when elevated. The power has a chance to carry the profile but has continued to show that the hit tool is not lagging too far behind. Becoming a versatile defender with innings all over the diamond this summer has allowed Bowen to showcase himself to pro scouts as a capable glove at multiple long-term defensive homes. This is an above-average athlete at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds with 6.5 speed and substantial raw pop who has a chance to grow his stock even more as he now becomes a part of one of the best lineups in the state at Blessed Trinity.

Eston Simpson RHP / Jefferson, GA / 2025

Maintaining his spot as one of the top arms in the state as well as making a slight bump up here to #7 for the Clemson commit, who's coming off a highly-productive summer after dealing with an ugly bout of Mono in the later stages of the spring. Last year’s Future Games MVPitcher is an imposing figure on the mound, utilizing every bit of his high-waisted 6-foot-7 frame to create significant extension paired with a deceptive lower slot. Simpson will live 89-92, with the ability to run it up to 94 and much more in the tank as he fills out a very lean frame. Heavy sink and run with command to fill up the zone and create in-zone misses on some movement that is tough to pick up. Tighter slider continues to grow seemingly every outing, working 76-79 mostly with good tilt and late bite that has started to garner some swing-and-miss at a higher rate. Advanced feel for the changeup at 80-82 with good depth and fade allows for the offspeed to be a confident third pitch for Simpson, and plays very well early in the count. I fully believe we haven't seen the right-hander anywhere close to his ceiling and could have a chance to take his profile into a draft candidate this upcoming spring.

Daniel Pierce SS / Mill Creek, GA / 2025

Already armed with one of the best gloves in the class, Pierce showed an impressive all-around performance throughout the summer that culminated in a quality showing at East Coast Pro. Showing great balance at the plate, the Georgia commit showcases excellent pitch recognition and bat-to-ball skills that have allowed for some added impact in the barrel as he starts to fill out an athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Above-average bat speed in an uphill path helps Pierce create leverage with minimal effort while flashing some pull-side carry. Plus speed has begun to show consistently for Pierce this summer with multiple sub-6.5 times in the 60 highlighted by an electric first step that also plays up in the middle infield. A surefire shortstop long-term with bouncy actions and effortless ability to move laterally, Pierce makes throws from the hole look routine. Hands and footwork work in tandem with each other allowing for the glove to be vacuum in the dirt. It’s a high ceiling defensive profile that now shows potential carrying tools on the offensive side of things, and could end up having one of the more well-rounded profiles in the class.

Dax Kilby SS / Newnan , GA / 2025

Coming into the summer after a robust spring campaign where Kilby hit .465 with 17 XBH and nearly a 3:1 BB:K ratio, the stock was already rising for the Clemson commit and the outstanding summer only solidified that fact. Utilizing an all-fields approach at will, Kilby came through with big knocks against quality pitching throughout the entire summer circuit and on the biggest stages. A very well-leveraged left-handed cut with an innate feel for the zone and real strength in the frame lead to finding consistent barrels with impact behind them. Everything off the bat was seemingly 95+ while grabbing multiple triple digit exit velocities. There’s room for even more power in the profile, especially when backed by a quality hit tool to fall back on.  A rangy defender in the middle infield at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, Kilby showed quality actions at both second and shortstop throughout the summer and showed some long-term staying power in the dirt. The depth at the top of Georgia’s 2025 middle infield class is tremendous, and Kilby is quickly pushing himself to be among the best.

Jamie Vicens RHP / Marist, GA / 2025

In less than a calendar year, Jamie Vicens has been one of the most productive pitchers in the state with the budding stuff to match and now finds his way in the top 10 overall in the class. Physical, athletic 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame with great body control and ability to repeat a compact, high three-quarters arm slot with ease allows the Georgia Tech commit to showcase a deep four-pitch mix that only continues to develop. Fastball jumps out of the hand, working primarily in the low-90s with sharp arm-side life and great feel to spin (Avg. RPM 2550) that will miss bats frequently. Vicens will mix in a pair of different breaking balls with distinct shapes, led by a low-80s slider that snaps off consistent tight, glove-side bite. Curveball operating at 74-77 with 11/5 shape that holds shape well and can freeze hitters early in the count. Changeup has a chance to be one of the best pitches in the mix, living 82-84 with disappearing tumble action that will fall off the table at times to generate some swings. The metrics alone show there's a ton with Vicens and when adding in the frame and pitchability, the profile begins to look more and more like someone who has another level to unlock.
