5-foot-9, 160-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder, athletically built with strength throughout, especially in his lower half. We had a good look at Westmoreland last summer where he showed an advanced feel for the barrel and hit tool, has carried over to his first varsity season where he was hitting nearly .700 before the season was suspended. On a day when Lakeview Academy starter Andrew Estes (Furman) was mowing down the St. Francis lineup, Westmoreland battled each and every time at the plate and did what he always does, put the ball in play and find a gap in the defense. His competitive nature and feel for the barrel make him a hard out each at-bat.
9/18/19
5-foot-9, 160 pounds. The stocky athletic infielder continues to impress on the weekend the more he is watched. He shows strong versatility on the infield handling 3B, SS, 2B duties and making plays at all 3. He showed off impressive range and arm strength while playing SS making a play deep in the hole and converting a strong accurate throw as well. Offensively he turned out imposing at bats via deep lineouts or liners into the gaps for base knocks. On the mound, he shows a loose, clean arm, hides the ball well out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 81-83 with late life. Manipulated his breaking ball between 64-71, changing the shape between 11/5 and two plane break.
9/17/19

Westmoreland has the ability to play second, short, third or pitcher, doing all at a high level. We got our most recent look at him this past weekend at the LakePoint Invite, where he continued to make strides offensively, turning himself into an impact bat.
4/27/19
Solidly built 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, right-handed pitcher. Pitched well in relief for the Georgia Jackets. Fastball topped at 81 mph, sitting at 78-80. Also threw a 67-69 slider/slurve for strikes. Works out of a high-3/4 slot, compact arm circle, quick hand out front. Also played a solid MIF. Switched between shortstop and second base and played either position equally well. Good hands on double play turns, moved well on the run.
