10/23/18 - Committed to South Carolina out of Chipola (FL)
Transferred to Chipola from Georgia
7/16/16 - Made a few big plays, diving up the middle on a groundball on one and then going to his right and making a strong throw from the hole on another. He has smooth actions and athleticism that allows much of the game to come easy to him. He’s raw offensively with some swing-and-miss tendencies, but has quick hands and looseness in his swing.
6/27/16 - Has shown a loose swing all week and collected two hits in his final game. He had a hard double down the left field line from the left side of the plate and then had a bunt single and got down the line in less than four seconds from the right side. He also showed off his athleticism on a leaping catch at shortstop.
2/22/2019: had a big day, going 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. The home run came on a changeup, as he stayed back, whipped the barrel through the zone with his quick hands and launched the ball off the top of batter’s eye in center field.
10-8-2018: 6-foot, 190-pound infielder, strong, athletic frame, clearly defined muscle, saw time at shortstop and third base. Continues to have a strong fall campaign. Locked-in offensively once again, the switch-hitter has present bat speed and power from both-sides. Good pre-pitch rhythm, strong hands through contact, found barrels consistently. Simple approach from left-side, given athleticism and power drives balls into gaps. Defensively, profiles at third base, showed enough arm strength and body control on run through.
9/22/18 - Listed at 6-foot, 190 pounds, it doesn’t take any expert to see how physically strong and athletic he is. He immediately passes the eye test and looks like he would fit in just as well at middle linebacker on that Saturday as he did in the middle infield. Defensively, he most likely slides to third, where he played in game two, but works with confident and athletic actions. Hands work and throws were accurate with carry and plenty of arm strength to stay on the left side. Offensively, he was was on the barrel in nearly every at-bat for both games. The switch hitter looks comfortable on both sides, but the left-handed swing seems to be a bit more compact, but both sides there is bat speed and power potential. Overall, one of the biggest winners from this early look and will be a high follow through the fall and into the spring.
