Uncommitted. Impressive performance on the mound from the Freshman. Hudson got the ball in a win or go home game 3 vs Harrison in round 1 of the Playoffs. Hudson went 6.2 innings pitched keeping a low pitch count and worked efficiently. Hudson filled up the zone with his low to mid 80’s FB topping out at 85, and had a good BB off of the FB to keep hitters off balance. Lots of weak contact produced by Hudson, with whiffs out of the zone. Hudson will look to carry his strong freshman season over into the summer.

Hudson is one of the top players in the 2027 class. He has 2 way talent that will continue to help the Trojans the next 3 years. He had 2 strong performances on the mound this past week at the Battle for Bartow. Both were close situations in a tight game. He is calm under pressure, and doesn’t shy away from the moment. The fastball was 83-84 with good life down in the zone. It comes from an over the top slot, and really gets on hitters. He throws 3 pitches for strikes, and can throw the off speed in any count. Hudson is going to be fun to watch develop both at the and on the mound, showing his athleticism and competitiveness throughout his game.

Uncommitted. Hudson is the #11 ranked player in Prep Baseball Georgia’s 2027 rankings and has had a good start to his high school career. Caleb is in the leadoff spot for a solid Carrollton team and has also seen time on the mound as well. At the plate Caleb has good feel for the zone and shows strong bat to ball skills. Hudson is a threat on the bases as he is looking to advance any chance he gets. On the mound Caleb showed a FB up to 83 and a slider with good action getting whiffs out of the zone.
