Western Kentucky recruit, 6-foot-2 175-pounds. Athletic build at the top of the Allatoona order. Serves as the catalyst for his team. Put together great at bats all weekend long. Simple approach at the plate, with a whippy bat. Gap to Gap type hitter out of the leadoff spot. Put a nice swing on the 12th pitch of this at bat to drive home two runs for the Buccaneers.

6-foot-2 170-pounds. Uncommitted 2-way player. Stocky athletic frame, played third base then came into relieve on the mound. Mixes up his arm angles, FB was 83-84 from the over the top slot. Stuck with the FB mostly, stayed down the zone and threw strikes. Great candidate to carry a good amount of innings in relief. Gets really good back leg drive.

6-foot-2, 171-pound catcher and right-handed pitcher, long, narrow frame, athletically built, wiry strength, room to add lean strength. Offensively, balanced setup, starts with weight displaced on back-side, hands load back smoothly, short stride, great balance through contact. Gap-to-gap type hitter, quick hands whip barrel through the zone in a slightly uphill path, uses his long levers to gain extension, creates leverage, had some of the hardest hit balls of the weekend. Defensively, is solid behind the plate, moves quick laterally, keeps the ball in front when block, flexible hips and ankles, creates a compact target, arm works short and loose.

2021 Brett Blomquist is truly a rare super utility type of prospect. He checks in at 6-foot-2, 171-pounds. Posting a strong 6.89 /60-yard is a look into the kind of athlete ability he possesses. His 79-Catcher Velocity is strong, but he is much more effective when he relies on his strong transfer abilities over pure arm strength, and he can show sub 2.0 pop times regularly. Infield and outfield velocity are both strong, but the actions allow for easy projection with added strength. His 84-Exit Velocity is deceiving because of the fact that Blomquist relies on good path and being on time for consistent hard contact which leads to power, though more strength is sure to come.
5/28/19
6-foot-1, 171 pound build; lean frame with room for additional strength. Advanced all-around player with versatile profile. Showed well at the plate with slightly back-loaded stance. Gets hand separation on load, level swing with active lower-half; body works in sync and stays on time. Barrel stays through zone. Athletic behind the plate with good carry on throws; 1.99 pop time. In the infield, had good instincts, very athletic footwork; plays aggressively to ball. Lateral movement is quick. Also worked out in OF; athletic approach to ball, works through well into crow-hop. Looked comfortable in all positions. 6.90 runner.
