10/20/18 - LSU commit. Shows swing-and-miss tendencies at the plate, but the strength and quickness in his hands produces bat speed and easy raw power. He had a cue-shot single over second base in the East Coast Sox Select’s first official game and then hit a two-run home run to right field. It was 99 mph off the bat.

10/12/18 - LSU commit. 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-handed infielder, physically and athletically advanced, high waist, long legs, muscular upper body. Immediately stands out on the diamond. Offensively possessed the most raw power out of any prospect in attendance. Keeps things relatively simple, short stride, hands load back, maintains great balance. Abundant hand speed, explosive lower half, natural lift to swing. Elite pull-side power in the 2019 class, takes a more line drive approach to the opposite field. Hinds, who has shown a true plus arm in the past, working up to 95 mph was noticeably a bit cautious with his throws across the diamond in the workout. He made a nice play on a slow roller and made the throw with no issue, but decided not to take infield in pre-game on day two. Overall, not a huge issue as the bat and tremendous upside is what you are buying, but is worth noting that the arm will be worth following going forward. Hinds has the most raw power in the class, while there is some swing and miss, you can’t miss the pure power, frame, athleticism and overall potential.

04/12/18- LSU recruit. One of the top 2019s in the country looks to have grown and filled out. The frame is large and athletic with a strong lower half. Moves well at third and has a plus arm as throws have plenty of carry. Offensively, was 2-2 with a pair of walks, a single and home run. He looks comfortable in the box, works with rhythm and uses the lower half extremely well. Low effort, high impact swing with natural leverage. There is bat to ball skills with present power and plus power potential. Could have best power potential in the 2019 class.

7/10/17 - Named to Team USA 18U trials roster.

6/29/17 - Cleared the bases with a double down the left-field line. Though he shows some swing-and-miss tendencies, the ball jumps off Hinds’ bat. The double was well struck and he added a solo home run to left-center field late in the game.

04/03/17- Committed to Louisiana State University.

11/04/16- The high-waisted, athletic, 6-foot-3, 195-pounder put on the most impressive performance of the day. In the field, he shows quick feet and actions with range and the ability to charge the ball. He displayed a plus arm topping out at 94 mph across the infield from shortstop, but when he was 89-91 mph across the infield he was more accurate to the bag. At the plate, he is balanced with a slightly open stance, quick hands, and above average bat speed. Consistently made hard, loud contact as he put multiple balls deep into the gaps, showed some juice from the right side almost taking a few out. At times, he can cut himself off and be out in front, but when he is on time and in rhythm, the ball explodes off his bat. Hinds will continue to be one of the top follows for his class and has really only begun to scratch the surface of his big time potential.

10/10/16- 6-foot-3, 195 pounds who is high-waisted with a strong, athletic, projectable build. Relaxed and balanced at the plate with above average bat speed and quick hands. Can square the ball up and drive it into the gaps. Works the count and displays good plate discipline. Vocal player in the field and displays good instincts.

12/10/15- 6-foot, 160-pounder who stood out during the tryout. In the field, he showed a strong arm with range and was quick to the ball. Some throws went a little high. Took a good round of batting practice and he made consistent, hard contact. Drove a couple balls deep into the gaps.
