Like the gap to gap ability from the left side with some speed. Balanced in the box and showed good bat speed and some strength to get the ball in the air with authority. Can clean up some of his defensive actions but there’s definitely potential to improve that side of the ball with his athleticism.

Stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, has some long arms and could see him grow in the future. Defensively, he seems a bit more natural in the outfield, where he is athletic through the ball. In the infield, he works under control with sound actions. His left-handed bat is his best tool. It is simple and level through the zone and translate to game where he stayed on the barrel with a single and an RBI. A solid left-handed bat to follow.

Well above average left-handed bat. Showed pull side power in BP and the ability to keep the hands back and drive the offspeed pitch during the game. Good lift in the swing path. Hands are quiet to start and gets weight forward with good extension. Defensively, the feet and hands work together well with an average arm in the outfield and infield. Will most likely stick in the outfield moving forward.

At 5-11 165 lbs Morelli has long limbs that are quick and fast. Displays a smooth swing from the left side and barreled up balls with consistency over the past two days. He stays on time well even with a big leg kick. Lands on front foot but keeps a stiff front side that keeps his weight in the backside conducive to torque and backspin.
