Allan has moved up in our rankings partly because of his dominant mid-90s fastball and a plus curve that leaves opposing hitters knees buckling. With his stock rising fast, Allan very may well hear his name called in the Top-10 alongside Greene. There is not much to dislike about him, given the arsenal, arm action and prototypical starter’s frame.

A Florida recruit, Allan was already a notable prospect, but has made a jump into the top 10 after a hot start. Pitching with a mid-90s fastball and potential plus breaking ball, he could be one of the first high school arms off the board in June. He has continued to fill out and has a prototypical starter’s frame. The arm action is clean throughout and works to extension, getting the fastball to work downhill. The curveball sits mostly 77-81 and induces swings and misses. He also mixes in a changeup, which shows average to above-average potential.

Miami recruit. Currently ranked No. 19 in the Florida 2019 Class, No. 56 Overall. Stands at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a solid build and strong legs. Simple, repeatable delivery with a loose, quick arm. Fastball mostly sat 87-92 mph in the first inning, and then settled in at 87-89 for the next couple innings. Also threw a curveball at 68-70 mph that showed good depth and some shape as he was able to throw it for strikes along with a 79-80 mph change up. Seemed to get stronger as the game went on. Took some strong swings at the plate and singled into left field on a hard line drive during the game.
