2/14/19 - Standing at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds he has a long, projectable frame. Offensively the ball jumps off of the barrel. Uses his long limbs efficiently, staying short to the ball while still creating leverage, generated an exit velocity of 87 mph. Defensively, he moves athletically in the outfield and has a loose easy arm action, topping out at 81 mph. On the mound he has a clean arm stroke and was up to 80 mph. Showed quality shape on the curveball and a feel for the changeup. Overall, more to come on both sides with strength and maturity.
10/05/18 - 5-foot-10, 152-pound, lean, athletic build, left-handed pitcher. Showed good composure. Loose, clean arm action from a high ¾ slot. Delivery is low effort. Fastball sat 81-83 with run. Curveball, 1/7 shape, 71-72.
01/27/18 - Uncommitted. Lean, athletic frame standing at 5-foot-10, 152 pounds. Shows baseball IQ. Offensively, he starts from a slightly open stance with good balance and rhythm throughout his swing. Loose, quick hands that looks to drive the ball, especially to the pull side with authority. Makes consistent contact and registered an 86 mph exit velocity in the cage. More power to come as he adds to his frame. In the field he showed solid defensive actions around the bag at first, fielding the ball under control and with confidence with throws topping out at 74 mph across the diamond. On the mound, works with a good pace and looks to pound the zone with loose, clean arm action from the left side. Fastball mostly worked at 80-82 mph along with a 69-71 mph curveball that showed shape. Interesting two-way player that should see jumps as he continues to mature.
12/16/17- The left handed hitting first baseman, left handed pitcher has a lot of upside. Offensive, he has loose wrists with present bat speed. There is a feel for the barrel and the ball comes off the bat well, with some present pull power with more to come with strength. On the mound, the arm works and the fastball comes out of the hand well at 77-80 mph. Also showed potential with a 70-72 mph curveball and a 76 mph changeup. There is an upside with added strength to be a true two-way player.
07/26/17- Young, athletic 5-foot-10, 150-pound righty with room to fill out. Demonstrated good footwork approaching the ball in the outfield with a quick first step and accurate throws. At 1B feet were occasionally slow and would benefit from ladder drills to keep feet moving. Offensively, the swing actions played well. Quick to the ball with bat speed and working behind the ball. Showed pull side power as he laced a deep line drive to the left center gap for a double. On the mound he showed good command of all three pitches. Worked efficiently with up tempo and smooth delivery while staying on target throughout. Fastball sat 75-77 with a breaking ball sitting between 64-67. Changeup had good action at 76 with depth. More in the tank if he uses his lower half more effectively.
