6-foot-4, 230-pound solid mature build. Solid during batting practice, the left-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 98 mph, Best EV of the day. (70.35 mph bat speed average). (20.82 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a low rhythmic load, then uses a toe tap stride. Has electric bat speed, upward swing plane and high finish. Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; showed a clean exchange, consistent hands, and choppy feet. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action and a ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 8.07 in the 60-yard dash.
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-foot-4, 220-pounds. Large, strong bodied frame.
Defense: Two handed gather, some stiffness, long at times getting to release.
Arm: RH. INF - 70 mph. Long to short arm action, high 3/4 arm slot.
Hit: LHH. Tall setup, back foot closed in, strong hands barrel tilt load, toe tap stride. Level path, compact swing, above average bat speed.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity. Projectable power to pullside gap.
Run: 7.79 runner in the 60.
Large frame with a whippy swing. Starts tall in the box, gets into a good power position with hip coil. Natural lift in the path, when he connects it goes a long way. Serious raw power. Potential for real game power. Defensively he’s slightly below average at first base. There’s some athletic movements and a chance the hands improve. Big offensive upside on this prospect.
Uncommitted 2023. Athletic and strong frame at 6 foot 3, 225 pounds. Moves well around the base at 1st with soft hands and average footwork. Balanced setup at the plate from the left side with a level to uphill swing to produce gap to gap swing with pull side power.
