5/20/15 - Very strong muscular compact body. Explosive bat speed and strength in a powerful body. Also hit some balls out of sight this past weekend in BP. Has a good path but swing can get uphill when he tries to launch. Gets more distance and contact frequency when hands stay through the zone and keeps his good bat path. Put on a clinic last Fall in Jupiter.
10/30/14 - Strong muscular body. Reminds me a bit of Jeff Conine. Bat is best tool with plus ML raw power. Was locked in at WWBA. His outs were hard. Has some stiffness in swing but explosive bat speed and strength. Adequate defender but will play. Also a prospect on the mound. FB is 87-90 with a good breaking ball. Seems to like to hit more than pitch but could be a very good 2 way guy if he gets to college. Could be a 2015 draft.
6/26/14 - With a rigid stance and arm bar, Heinrich’s actions at the plate certainly aren’t pretty, but it’s hard to argue with the results. He has good bat speed and consistently squares the ball up for loud contact. At the Tournament of Stars, he went 5-for-10 with a double, three RBIs and five runs scored. He’s limited to a corner defensively, playing first base at this event, but could find a home in the outfield. He reportedly has a strong arm and is a solid runner, with a 6.9-second 60. He has a strong frame at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds.
