08/15/18- State College of Florida recruit. Big-bodied and strength-based. Actions are smooth and under control. Coordination is there and when he tunes up the body, he will be a very physical player. Controls bat well. Hands to zone without wasted movement. Quick swing with strength to get extension. 92 EV. Strength to find power now. Gets loft and extension. Should be the highlight of his game. Offensive big-bodied catcher. Both offensive tools are promising. PWR should come early from advanced strength. Catchers improve defensively and he will see a really big jump once he is able to tighten body and add some quickness.
02/17/18- Florida recruit. The big bodied catcher showed a little more mobility and flexibility behind the plate on day two. He has strong hands and solid receiving skills. His in game pop times ranged from 1.96-2.15. He has made some adjustments to his hand set and load, but when he is on time and compact he has real power, and that showed up in the home run on the last day of gameplay.
04/28/17- Florida recruit. The strong-bodied catcher has made some adjustments in his setup and it has paid off. With a lower handset, he gets better separation and appears more loose and relaxed in his pre-swing setup. He has a strong lower half and easy power that showed up on a home run driven to left. He still has room to lean up, but has a solid frame that works well behind the plate. He can become more flexible, but his hands work well behind the plate and has the ability to handle high-end arms.
4/8/16- 6-foot-2, 195-pound catcher who has a thick, strong, and physical frame that is young and has more room to add muscle. Open stance at the plate and has good rhythm. Gets a nice separation and hand trigger for his load. Short, quick swing with good bat speed. Nice swing plane and the ball really jumps off his bat. He looks like one of the better offensive catchers in the state for the 2019 class.
