10/16/16- University of Southern California recruit. Stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with a lean, projectable build. Has a slow, deliberate wind-up that can cause some timing issues for the batter as once he delivers, he has a quick arm. Fastball sat 88-89 mph and he also mixed in a 75-76 mph curveball.

6/25/16 TOS: He was very effective and made the 40-man cut: 5 innings, four hits, four Ks, two BB, no runs, won two games. Ball comes out sneaky hot. In the first outing sat 87-88, touching 90. In the second outing, he was 88-90, touching 91. Ball seems to get up on hitters, perhaps because he has such a slow, deliberate tempo. Curveball, which he rarely flashed, sat at 76; slows his arm action when throwing it, and he casts it out. Delivery is somewhat of a tilt-a-wheel delivery, without a lot of athleticism to get it up and out. Also flashed a 77-78 changeup. 

7/18/13 - At Team USA's 15U trials, Gursky started for Blue in Wednesday’s first game. A rising freshman, he has a lean frame at 6-feet, 185 pounds. He finishes his delivery by falling off to the third base side, which seemed to hamper his command. His first inning of work got rolled over, but he managed to finish his outing strong with a clean third inning. He sat 84-86 mph with some armside sink.
