08/13/16- Athletic, 6-foot-2, 185 pound infielder that had two singles during game action with two solid rounds of batting practice. Athletic and projectable, there is some length in the swing, but he has a strong lower half and when he is direct to the baseball he has gap-to-gap power. He looks the part and has soft hands with good actions defensively, but he may end up moving to third as he continues to fill out.
4/2/15 - Sophomore, 6-foot-1 185 pound SS who is very strong, athletic, and has gotten a lot better since the start of the season. Hitting at the top of the lineup for a talented team and now the everyday SS for a program with great tradition and talented juniors and seniors. Good actions in the infield and has the arm to play SS. Made a play (on Brent Killam, so he has good speed) in the hole where he backhanded hard hit GB, planted and threw a strike to beat the runner. Going to be a top SS as he has the ability and arm to play there. He did make a couple of throwing errors late in the game but these were just because he wasn’t getting his feet underneath him on his throws, something that should be easily corrected. At the plate, he was not overmatched against a top arm in Kragel. Had the only hit of the night for Sarasota, a line drive into LCF and also walked in his opening at bat. Good speed as he had two stolen bases where he got great jumps and beat the good throw both times.
