77.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Body: 6’1’’, 200 pounds. Strong, well-proportioned frame with obvious feel for his body in all phases. Hit: RHH. Upright, open stance with the hands starting above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a quick, sweeping lift and replace stride early in ball flight that connected to the ground on time; entered the hitting zone through a flat path allowing for a mostly line drive approach through the middle of the field during batting practice (36% line drive rate). A 21% hard hit rate (batted balls over 90 mph) via Trackman Baseball pointed towards the consistency he put together at the plate, while an average of 21+ G’s of rotational acceleration hints at a big power ceiling down the road. Power: 91 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Accrued a 316 foot peak batted ball distance with the aforementioned power ceiling. Doubles power at the moment plugging the LCF gap on occasion, but will only continue seeing those numbers head north. Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Quick, high ¾ slot with accuracy across the diamond. Was able to repeat in the actions. Defense: Moved the feet on time off the bat from a wide base, fielded out in front with a soft glove hand and showed comfortability moving to either side from a low posture. Feel for lateral movements and handled the play on the run with rhythm. Run: 7.29 60-yard time.
