7.86
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot-4, 200-pound, strong, wide, athletic frame. Showing strength throughout, already filling out, has a durable pitchers body. A right pitcher, working from the stretch position, simple, controlled delivery. The hands start lower, easy coiled leg raise, longer inline stride, landing softer on frontside. The front glove stays inline with minimal pull to it. The arm action is short and clean on the backside, working with easy effort, out of a 3/4 slot. The fastball was up to 82 mph, with heavy bore action to arm side. Look for fastball to climb again at some point. The breaking ball was clocked 64 mph, bigger in shape with proper spin and shape. The change up has a chance to be a legit out pitch. A three pitch guy, good projection to this one.

6-foot-4, 200-pound, strong, large athletic frame. The shoulders are broad, back is wide, well proportioned, already filled out. A right-handed pitcher, pitches downhill, pounds the zone with a heavy three pitch mix. Working from the set position, lift is athletic, loaded up on backside. The arm action is long, opens it early at times, working out of a high 3/4 slot. The fastball is located to outer half, clocked at 78-80 mph, with more in the tank. Threw a straight change, with good arm speed, clocked at 71-72 mph, depth, with downward break. The breaking ball shows proper rotation, clocked at 65-66 mph. Look for him to throw with velocity at some point, frame is strong, arm has some quickness.
10/05/19
6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 78-79 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 62-64 mph, big in shape. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is out of the stretch. The feet are online as he makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be aligned more appropriately. Small amount of sink on the back half as he cuts his size down. The arm works clean and free, and the frame is big and athletic. Solid follow as he matures.
7/17/19
6-foot-3, 205 pound right-handed pitcher with an extra-large build. Off the mound he starts from the stretch slightly closed off. His hands start at his ear and leg lift cohesively work together. The lift is athletic, gets to a good gather. There is a little bit of collapse on the back leg, but that can be worked out with reps and practice. The finish is solid, gets out front with good extension and puts himself into a good fielding position. He did not show a curve ball, but did show control on both his fastball up to 79 mph and change up sitting 72-74 with some sink. The fastball comes out of his hand well, late life to arm side. The change up has a chance to be an out pitch down the road. Look for him to climb rather quick.
2/25/18
6-foot-2, 165-pound, strong, athletic frame. The neck is long, back is wide, shoulders are rounded off, has room for future development. A right-handed hitting corner infielder who worked off the mound as well. The stance is taller, feet are even, hands are loaded up in a strong starting position. The swing is flat through the zone, pushes slightly with backside. The approach is more gap to gap, spraying line drives, shows to have some loft to the swing when he is on time. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph and ran a 4.40. Defensively, has good prep steps, fields under, needs to get lower and more out front will soften the catch. The arm works, it’s loose and clean, works out of a lower slot. The arm was clocked at 75 mph, with good touch on throws. Off the mound, hands start and stay high throughout, leg raise is smooth, gets to a high powerful gather, direction is inline down the mound. The arm works out of a ¾ slot, fastball showed good sink and run to arm side, clocked at 72 -74 mph. The breaking ball was clocked at 62-64 mph, had an 11/5 break to it, more slurve break to it. The change up had arm side sink to it, clocked at 64-65 mph. The tempo and delivery are slower, times to the plate were at 2.47, picking up the pace will help make the arm work a bit quicker. The frontside arm/glove, can be slightly stronger, will aid in the velocity. Projects off the mound more for me.
