5-foot-8, 170-pound, average athletic frame, shoulders are squared off, has plenty of room to fill out. The movements and actions are smooth, work freely. Continues to get better and impress has turned himself into a solid catch and throw guy. Behind the plate the setup is balanced, relaxed, sits low to the ground and is very flexible behind the dish. The hands are soft, gets around the baseball, does a good job with the low pitch on dirt balls, glove goes first with the body following, softens the baseball on the block, is quick and recovers quickly. The glove gets to throwing hand in transfer without any hesitation, feet are inline with second base on throws. The pop times were recorded at 2.0-2.07, throws were on proper side of bag. The arm action is clean throws from a higher slot, has cleaned up the small pause on the bag side, has no hesitation. The arm was clocked at 75 mph from the chute, showed to have carry to throws. Offensively, hits from the right side, balanced approach, feet are wider than shoulder width apart, front foot is slightly open. The hands are relaxed, set at shoulder height, bat starts flat on the back shoulder. For timing uses a small controlled leg kick, hands have separation from the body, is on time on foot strike. The swing path is down to level to up, stays through the baseball. Both rounds of batting practice were solid, approach is more line drive from field to field. Solid catch and throw guy, definite follow, can handle the bat.

7/12/16
5-foot-8, 160, thin, wiry strong athletic frame, actions and movements are loose and he has plenty of room to fill out. One of the better catch and throw kids around. Behind the plate, he is balanced, wide, the transfer is quick and he gets the glove to throwing hand without much wasted movement. The arm action is a little higher slot, has made improvements in this area; there is no more hesitation with arm action, much more fluid. Pop times to second were 1.97-2.10, flight of ball is down hill. The arm was clocked at 73 mph from the crouch. Also plays up the middle, shows soft hands and keeps his feet moving towards target, arm was clocked at 76 mph from across the diamond. Offensively, he has a simple and balanced approach, looks to go gap to gap. The setup is slightly open and a little wider than shoulder width. The bat has some tilt to it in the setup, the swing path is level to up and keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. The tee exit velocity was 78 mph, whip in his finish. Times down the line were 4.57. Interesting kid, has a chance to catch at a good level, strength is still a must.
