NE Insider: Connecticut Pitcher/Catcher Analysis 2 - Top Performers
Top Pitching Prospect:
Matt Cleveland, RHP, Windsor, 2016 (Florida Southwestern JC Recruit): Matt, who worked out Wednesday at the P/C Analysis in Hartford, CT., will be excluded from all top categories from this event. Matt is on track to be drafted this spring in the MLB Draft. A right-hander, delivery is simple, stays strong on the backside and works downhill nicely. Fastball sat at 87-90, comes out of a ¾ slot, located well to both sides of plate. Breaking ball was in the mid-70s with some depth. At 6-foot-5, 220-pound frame, the body is long and physically developed, with room to fill out.
Best Fastball- Jeff Walsh, RHP, East Catholic, 2017
