Cooper Benoit: 1B/LHP, (2026) New Fairfield High School, CT. 195-pound projectable athletic build. Projectable and above average during batting practice, the hitter clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. (70.1 mph bat speed average). (20.4 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then used a small stride. Has explosive developing bat speed, uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his high finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the infield, displayed a velocity of 78 mph; showed a natural exchange, developing athletic feet, and developing soft hands. Movements laterally were developing, athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a ¾ slot with a consistent arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose consistent arm action while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 79-80 mph; shows running sinking action and command arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2121; Avg 2059). His changeup (70-71) had gradual fading action and arm side command. His slider (64-65) shows glove side command and slurvey action. (Max spin 2038; Avg 1993).
