Defense: OF Great athleticism and movements Good Feel for ground balls and catch to release INF Plays ball to middle of body. Soft hands Good movements around the bag. DEMONSTRATED 88 MPH arm in the OF. Would look at him as a LHP as well.
Claridge has a large frame at 6-foot-2, 207-pounds and is a left-handed hitting first basement and left-handed pitcher in the 2021 class. At the plate, starts upright and wide, in line stride, quick hands, level bat path, showed hard contact off the bat and power to the gaps during round. Exit velocity was 77 mph. Defensively, quick off the bag, clean transfers, high three-quarter release, positional velocity of 85 mph, fairly accurate throws Repeatable motion and mechanics on the mound. Arm is over the top to high 3/4’s at times. Fastball runs away from the hitter and sat 79-81 mph. Added a 63-65 mph curve with tight rotation and 2/7 break in the zone.

6-foot-2, 185-pound left hand hitting 1B/LHP who ran a 7.51 60. Tall lefty at the plate with a simple approach. Short stride and quick load allows him to fire his hands through the zone. Good extension out front with an uphill swing path. Exit velocity was 85 mph. At first he has good feet around the bag and soft hands to handle balls in the dirt. Arm is from a high ¾ arm slot and was 80 mph across the diamond. On the mound he stands tall and gets balanced. Strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery. Arm speed stays consistent on all pitches. Fastball was 81 mph with command down in the zone. He added a 64-65 mph Curve with 2/7 break.
