2/20/19 - The 6-foot, 160-pounder has a long, lean frame that is still very young in its development. With squared shoulders, long limbs, and large feet there is plenty of physical projection remaining. Gains ground down the mound with a longer stride from a drop-and-drive delivery through to a high 3/4 arm slot. The arm is loose and has some whippines to it and his mechanics are clean and repeatable. He worked his fastball down in the zone and to each side of the plate. Fastball worked 78-79 and touched 82 at its peak showing natural run to the arm side. He also challenged hitters with a fading changeup that shows late sinking action to the back foot of righties. He threw the pitch to hitters on both sides of the plate. The pitch worked in the 74-75 range consistently. He snapped off a curveball that flashes depth and tight spin with 12/6 shape to it. He commanded the pitch well the few times he threw it. From the side you get a real appreciation for the depth of the pitch.
