vs Foothill HS - Long Beach State commit; Strong build on average size frame, played CF and hit lead-off; 2-4 (1B, 4-3, HR, 6-4), ran 4.41 down line on 4-3 put-out, short stroke with strength and gap to gap approach, has barrel awareness, aggressive to FB early in the count, HR was on first pitch in his 3rd AB in 0-0 game, plays with energy while staying connected to teammates, no difficult plays in the OF while making routine plays look routine.

vs College Park HS - Uncommitted; Is one of the top 2022s in the area and a top 30 ranked player in the state. He has an athletic build and an ideal body type (6-foot-0, 180-pounds) for the position he plays. He moves around well in the outfield and possesses a strong arm and quick release which showed up during pregame warm-ups. Unfortunately he wasn’t tested much during the game, though he did run down a fly ball in the right-center gap to end an inning, showing a quick first step and good route running ability. Fabian has quiet hands and a square set-up at the plate, along with what appears to be good plate discipline. He went 1-for-4 on the day and was very aggressive at the plate on pitches to his liking. He hunted the first pitch often and displayed an aggressive yet controlled swing in his at-bats. Certainly not a player who is afraid to let his swing live. His above average speed showed up when he scored easily from second on a single to left.

NorCal Preseason All-State: Fabian was another young player who had a big summer and looks primed for a big 2020 season. The frame has noticeable strength in the shoulders already and moves easily with some burst when needing to get to it (7.22 60yd). His feel for the barrel at a young age is noticeable working with strong hands and utilizing the lower half to drive through contact; the middle and gaps were all regularly covered with balls as Fabian showed good direction in the swing and easy barrel speed. The arm is compact with a short swing in RF and the ability to keep throws low in their trajectory; arm looked like it was still working to full season strength after playing Football with more available (82 OF). Strong angles from the OF through the ball show he’s got an understanding of defensive timing and looks to be just tapping his full potential.

Summer scouting - Uncommitted; Quickly become one of favorite outfielders to cover in the 2022 class and the skills are just starting to show their full potential. Medium frame with high waist and strength in the athletic build. On a day where he didn’t pick up a hit, Fabian still showed tools at the plate. Fabian is consistently balanced at the plate and the quick, slightly uphill bat seems to find barrels even when those hard hit balls end up at people like they did during the viewing. The defense was on display in LF where he showed off his arm strength throwing out a runner on a Sac Fly at the plate; compact, online throw with good strength. Fabian showed good range and played solid defense on an awkwardly shaped field understanding reads off the fence and tracking down balls. The tools continue to develop and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the Spring.
6/13/19 Summer Scout - Athletic build with projectable frame. Showed a compact swing with feel for the barrel collecting two hits during the first game with a clean 1B into RCF and another solid one into RF adding a BB for good measure. Moves well in OF as well with some easy actions being able to track down the ball in the middle of the OF. During his second game he started by turning around an 85-MPH FB into the middle of the field before a triple into RF. The swing is regularly balanced looking to stay to the middle of the field, consistently on time no matter the velocity or pitches.

V Wilcox - Uncommitted. Medium frame with some budding strength and projectable build. Only got 1 AB but showed a lot of good things; balance, approach, and patience. Keeps front shoulder locked in during swing and has growing bat speed with strong hands/wrists. Good 1st step in CF and flashed some closing speed. A 2022 to watch over the Summer/Fall.
