BAWS 2019 - High waist on long frame with squared shape in shoulders and some space for added strength. Hands stay at waist through simple side step with very high front knee having slight coil around stiff back leg; see his numbers with the slight back turn. Rides hill well showing good control of his hips and front leg; finishes athletically with some kick off the strong inline front leg. Arm is long out of glove with pronounced flick towards second base before showing quick actions to get to 3/4 release; late armspeed down the hill. Attacked with the FB (81-83 T84) running it arm side and looking to jam that way; some late life as pitch runs through top of the zone  CHG 75 arm side with sink; limited usage in outing. CB 66-70 in slurvy shape (10/4) blending some depth and sweep having feel in and out of zone. SLD 74-75 shorter with late life having cutting action occur at the plate; flashes ability to tilt pitch making SLD/CB have some blend. Attacked zone; gave up a couple hard hits but pitched around them to grab 3 K’s and more weak contact.

4/15/19
Fresno Easter Classic - Athletic, twitchy MIF we’ve seen 84-86 as a PO at a showcase. Strong approach at the plate, understanding the use of his body. Drove one into RCF for base hit off of 86 MPH FB. Made an athletic play up the middle with the backhand from 2B making the throw.
1/20/19

PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Strong and lean with streamlined proportions on well-crafted 6-foot-0 165-pound frame, one of the more impressive outings at the showcase and we've seen him good twice, well-trained delivery, good rhythm, easy lift, good timing between upper and lower half, smooth separation, calm and compact out of the glove going to shallow shorter backside arm action, on-line stride landing with balance and strength, overhand slot, finishes with extension through target up against a firm front side, good head stability, crisp stuff and has all three pitches, fastball (T85) was easy and should tick up in the warmer spring weather, fastball mostly straight but can locate it well, curveball (68-70 mph) with tight spin and late break making it capable of being an out-pitch, change-up (73-75 mph) thrown with feel has late run and depth. Clean delivery, good stuff, he's a 2020 on the rise.

1/07/18

PBR Central Coast Open - 6-foot-0, 160-pounds, lean and athletically built with sloping shoulders and good physical projectability. Delivery starts with hands mid-chest before drop to waist and back up with the high front knee. Has a slight tuck where arm gets out early and stabs back with good control of his arm action before mid-3/4 release point showing a very quick arm that creates angles to lower half of zone. Maintained balance and stability throughout delivery, good direction and good finish, calm head and arm works easily around body. Fastball movement was fair but some life into the zone (81-84 mph), curveball with 11/5 action with occasionally late bite (66-67 mph), the longer he can hold that release the better the life was. Change-up (71-74 mph) with occasional above average feel, throws it confidently with aggressive arm action. Three quality pitches, good body, good mechanics, he's got a shot to make a name for himself this spring.
