Area Code Tryout - Arizona commit; Big physical body type, durable and powerful; 3/4 slot, loose quick and strong arm, hides ball well, delivery provides deception and allows 87-90 to seemingly play bigger than that and exploding at the plate, late slurve shape 73-74 CB with 1/7 shape, lots of run on 79-81 mph CHG. Full repertoire, competitive, not afraid of using his stuff in the strike zone and challenging hitters while trusting his stuff. One of top LHP in the region, if not THE top LHP in the 2022 class in Northern CA.

at Cal HS - Arizona commit; Listed 6-foot-2, 240-lbs and appears to be all of that, strong, defined, well-proportioned. Lower slot from 3/4 release, sinks into back leg over the rubber, gains ground on the hitter allowing FB (86-90) to play up and play hot through the zone. Significant run, occasional ride, some cutting action as he got a little fatigued. Got 89-90 when felt there was a need (flashed 89 in 4th inning, went 5 IP, 11 K, BB, HBP, 2 H, R). Lives off the FB, trusts it. VERY minimal usage of secondary stuff, showed big wide slurvy 73 mph CB and another offspeed pitch 78 mph w/slider shape. Calm mound presence, paid attention to the running game though does not possess much of move to either 1B or 2B.

vs College Park - Arizona commit; Easy to see why Bronzini is already committed as a sophomore and a top ranked 2022 LHP in the state. He has a large, muscular frame (6-foot-3, 220-pounds) that he uses to his advantage. He has a crossfire/low 3/4 slot, relatively effortless delivery that creates some deception. He had some trouble finding a consistent release point when facing left handed hitters, which led to some hit batters. Good life on his fastball and used it often. Curveball has good, late bite. Bronzini battled through the first 4 innings with a fair amount of traffic, including giving up a 2-run homer and didn’t have an easy inning until 1-2-3 5th inning. In the 6th he left a fastball over the plate and surrendered his second homer of the day to Sizemore. Aside from a couple of mistakes he generated a lot of swings and misses and showed the talent and raw stuff that will have him among the top pitchers in his class for the years to come. Also fielded his position well; calling off everyone on a bunt pop-up.
Summer Scout - Large, physical frame with muscular physique showing in wide shoulders and tight waist. Compact arm moves very quickly to H-3/4 release after up/down action with hands over high front side; athletic delivery where he uses his strong hips well to gather and create extension. When timed up the ball can explode from his hand as he focused heavily on attacking hitters with the FB over his 3 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 6. FB 83-86 T87 with angle and tail to the arm side showing life up through the zone. CB 59-65 with short pushy actions creating a loose slurvy shape; 3rd inning showed a little bit more feel with pitch having more 1/7 shape and some depth. CHG 79 showed some early feel starting off a hitter with small bottom. Showed control of the FB powering it past hitters for 5 of the 6 hitters; if he learns to throw the offspeed with similar armspeed to the FB it’s going to be a very impressive pitcher.
