Positional Profile: OF Physical: 5-9, 170-pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.95 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat start to upright bat position. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a finish around the back. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 99 MPH via Trackman. Physical aggressive swing, fully intent to do damage, showed ability to find barrel even while swinging aggressively, line drive and fly ball % were equal (37.5), EV avg 91 mph, ample bat speed and ability to stay on-plane. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 89 MPH. Big arm, quick feet, all the attributes to perform as a plus defender.

PBR NORTHERN CA UNDERCLASS GAMES
Body: 5-foot-8, 150-pounds. Strong/compact body, some explosiveness in a smaller package, well-proportioned & looks to have put some time into his body Hit: RHH. Excellent rhythm at the plate w/palpable confidence, upright stance w/slight knee crouch and slightly open lead foot, sizable knee lift during load as he coils/creates upper body torque, aggressive stride but stays in control of lower body and stays behind the ball, quick bat that happens easily, consistent contact point off the front of the plate, able to create more power than size suggests, should develop into an extra base hit-getter from gap to gap. Power: 90 mph EV off tee Arm: OF velo - 83 mph (R) - Ball comes out his hand very nicely w/carry and accuracy, gets power from lower body & lead foot stability for leverage as his backside comes through, definitely a chance to develop an above average/potentially plus arm Defense: Moves with agility and good body control, approaches ball on the ground well and fields in good position, there is was often an extra step or two during the release which allows him to get a little extra on the throws but also slows down the release time. With some footspeed gains he's got a shot to play in CF though likely projects to man one of the corners beyond HS. Run: 7.48 60-yard

PBR Far North Preseason ID - One of the more talented freshman players we've come across, Ryan looks poised to be one of the more heavily recruited 2023 OF in Northern CA. He's a lean and athletically proportioned 5-foot-8, 145-pounds and even at that modest size, there is explosiveness in all that he does. The 60 time was impressive and a foreshadowing of his hand speed that was on display in the BP round. Frankly the video doesn't do his hand speed justice. He can develop better lower body control in the swing but the hit talent is a plus attribute. Short to it, aggressive through it, with a flat, slashing type stroke. Stayed in the middle quite well. Defensively he will eventually develop a plus throwing arm and has the speed to cover the OF well, maybe not with plus range, but certainly with above average range.
