LINCOLN, CALIF. - As an open event, this was conducted as a straight traditional showcase, 60 yard run, BP round (with Blast Motion sensors and TrackMan utilized for gathering of various data and metrics), defensive workouts, and pitchers ending the day on the mound throwing 15-20 pitch sessions.

Jayke Brower, Del Oro (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: RHP
Physical: 6-4, 215-pounds; Long, broad shouldered build.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; high-3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 80-82 MPH; arm side run. CB: 69-71 MPH; 11-5 shape. SL: 71-72 MPH; small shape; CH: 71-73 MPH; fading action. Feel for slider is stronger than CB, can ride the FB up on the arm side, appears to have more in the tank given the body and easy arm.
Vicente Crowl, Franklin (Elk Grove, CA), 2024
Positional Profile: OF
Physical: 5-9, 135-pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 7.04 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a sweeping swing path with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 84 MPH via Trackman. Pulls hands back with barrel behind hands as he pull bottom hand through the zone, has balance throughout the swing, contact oriented stroke, chases eyes down the barrel at contact.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a delay in transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 68 MPH. Created clean angles to get off accurate throws, calm feet, arm works easily, footspeed projects to above average range as he gains strength.
Jake Dahl, Pleasant Valley (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Physical: 6-0, 150-pounds; Long, lean build. 7.55 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 81 MPH via Trackman. Strong base, balanced throughout swing, handsy with ability to spray ball, stays on-plane, projectable swing in place when physical maturity arrives.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Short take back from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH. Focused approach, surface was a little rough and he read hops well, arm is projectable as he develops strength, sound fielding fundamentals.
Conor Grady, Antelope (CA), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP
Physical: 6-2, 140-pounds; Lanky, slender build.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while showing no restrictions; low 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 71 MPH, while sitting 68-70 MPH; arm side run with sink. SL: 56-59 MPH; slurve like. CH: 61-63 MPH; fading action. Overhead wind-up, lower slot, loose and agile actions, FB/CHG play well off each other, low slot might be able to go lower and create a more unique look.
Ian Guanzon, Pleasant Valley (CA), 2022
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Physical: 6-0, 195-pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.88 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with one-handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. Physical hitter with strong feel for the barrel, compact and short with ability to drive the baseball, simple approach which allows his talents to live and breathe.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while being aggressive. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 80 MPH. Consistently accurate strong arm, light feet, all the attributes of a well-above average defensive 3rd baseman.
John Handy, Placer (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: C
Physical: 6-0, 197-pounds; Sturdy, muscular build. 6.98 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slashing stroke with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. Physical swing, strong top hand, hitterish feel with intent to do damage, did show ability to make adjustments to different locations, punishes ball up in the zone, has strong barrel awareness, bat speed is well-above average.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands soft and strong while standing up slightly early during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.08-2.13 pop times. C - 75 MPH. On-line throws with frequent one-hops to the bag, quick arm, smooth from glove to hand with efficient actions, strong base to sit with subtle moves as a receiver, strong defensive tools projecting as above average defensive catcher.
Tyler Hendrix, Seton (CA), 2022
Positional Profile: C
Physical: 6-0, 190-pounds; Broad shouldered, sturdy build. 7.69 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Extended take back of the hands with a gliding stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two-handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive through contact, has ability to create loft carry, able to stay on plane to his pitch, barrel contact on his pitch was consistent.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.18-2.28 pop times. C - 70 MPH. Gets ball out of glove to hand quickly, sits and receives with focus on the strike vs standing and potentially blocking umpire vision, throws were around the bag.
Thomas Keegan, Vista Del Lago (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: OF/3B
Physical: 5-10, 195-pounds; Sturdy, broad shouldered build. 7.46 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 89 MPH via Trackman. Line drive and fly ball % were equal (42.9%), fairly compact to and through contact, has stable base, high launch angle as result of aggressive attack angle.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high/over the top arm slot. 3B - 76 MPH. OF - 78 MPH. Showed well at both OF and 3B, quickness within his range at 3B, accurate thrower, played INF with sense of urgency to the ball and getting throw underway quickly.
Kellen Martinez, Christian Brothers (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: C
Physical: 6-3, 205-pounds; Broad shouldered, muscular build. 7.36 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a finish around the back. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Various contact type % (line drive 22.2, fly ball 33.3, ground ball 44.4), physical swing, found sweet spot and showed consistent barrel contact, stays on-plane, bat speed projects real power potential.
Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands soft and strong while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.26-2.35 pop times. C - 72 MPH. Flashed raw arm strength that will allow the pop times to get quicker as he trains, can set-up a little less deep in hips to burst out of crouch a bit better, receiving skills are strong.
Jack Rose, Franklin (Elk Grove, CA), 2023
Positional Profile: C
Physical: 6-1, 200-pounds; Proportional, sturdy build. 7.06 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman. Stroke and approach reminiscent of a Goldschmidt swing, keeps barrel behind the ball, works inside, able to drive the ball in the middle of the field.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while standing up slightly early during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.13-2.25 pop times. C - 72 MPH. Efficient footwork, was around the bag, has enough raw arm strength to continue to lower the pops as the technique evolves.
Michael Ryan, Gridley (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: OF
Physical: 5-9, 170-pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.95 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat start to upright bat position. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a finish around the back. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 99 MPH via Trackman. Physical aggressive swing, fully intent to do damage, showed ability to find barrel even while swinging aggressively, line drive and fly ball % were equal (37.5), EV avg 91 mph, ample bat speed and ability to stay on-plane.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 89 MPH. Big arm, quick feet, all the attributes to perform as a plus defender.
Kade Spomer, Lincoln (CA), 2024
Positional Profile : 2B/SS
Physical : 5-7, 135-pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.13 runner in the 60.
Offensively : RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a finish around the back. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 84 MPH via Trackman. Equal LD and fly ball % (37.5), starts with hands preset in a deeper position, has barrel control with ability to spray ball to all fields.
Defensively : Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 78 MPH. Bouncy actions, soft clean hands, energetic defender, surprising arm strength given present size, some length in the arm stroke though showed arm angle versatility when on the move, projects as an above average defender.
