Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; Athletic/twitchy, has a couple of tools that will play as plus, speed and arm. Plays w/an edge, flashes the hit-ability that will take him to an ignitor spot in a line-up. On mound gets up to 84. Stay on him as a two-way, see how it develops.

NorCal Preseason All-State: Gibson jumped out during this summer as a toolsy and twitchy athlete with easy burst (6.96 60yd). The arm is a true plus asset that he showed off both in RF and on the mound. In the OF the long full swing has balls screaming out of his hand to every bag with a quick, wrist keeping throws straight all the way to defenders chests (92 OF); not our first time seeing him above 90 MPH. At the dish, the open, high hand set up used a toe-tap to get on time and allow the loose wrists to have upward whip of the barrel; strength can keep improving the top hand finish on the swing as he matures. Gibson worked the RCF gap and middle of the field and when he got that top hand through balls carried with ease (86 EV). For good measure he showed off his two-way skills on the hill having his FB (80-83 T84 MPH) sinking and cutting through the zone with more velocity available, a projectable breaking ball showing overhand downer action (69-70 MPH) and a bottoming Change that started off his FB path (73-76). Will be a fun one to follow.

PBR N CA Top Prospect Game - Twitchy body type at 5-foot-10 145-pounds, bouncy uber-athletic (6.99 60-yard) player projecting high ceiling tools. Competed on less than 100% ankle so it's safe to say he will show lower 60 times at full health. Defense was fantastic during workouts throwing ropes (89-91 mph) to each of the bases with an easy plus arm; showed his range in game going to get balls closing into gaps. Hands work directly to the baseball with flat bat path and there’s bat speed (86 mph exit velo off tee) available; when he’s on time ball jumped off the bat. Plays with presence on the field and put together multiple strong AB’s during the games.

PBR N CA Underclass ID - Medium-long frame that is very lean with length in limbs and compact frame. Quick feet moves well with some effort that is controlled off of good first step (7.21 60yd). Wide balanced stance at plate with high back elbow having hands work back with quick transfer into back hip upon knee tuck. Bat works to lift ball through contact with some growing bat-speed able to pull the ball through the holes and into the gaps. Bat speed on display with exit velo round staying through the middle and carrying into gaps (82 EV). In OF uses athleticism well and has feel for the position using behind step and controlled feet to get quick, loose arm to keep the ball on the glove side of the bag (83 OF). Frame projects more strength and growth with smooth actions.
