Undeveloped upper-half which would indicate significant power gains across all positions with physical maturity. Abbey shows present gap-to-gap power with a front-side-heavy stance. He presently shows some bat speed with a consistent and level bat path that extends through the zone resulting in easy lift and pop. Registered an 86 exit velocity. Abbey shows good athleticism at first base with solid footwork, clean exchanges, and a strong arm - he was 83 across the diamond. Abbey projects very, very well on the mound. He generates good angle on his hard, sinking, fastball that touched 85. He backs that up with a sharp, late breaking 12-6 shape curveball that has depth from his fastball arm speed that he routinely threw in the strike zone. His curveball is a hammer. His changeup has downer action and is developing. Abbey shows a high ¾ angle with a quick arm and easy effort.
