at Casa Grande HS - Uncommitted; 6-foot-4, 205-pounds. At his best shows a heavy fastball up to 89 mph, sitting most comfortably in the 85-87 range. Curveball at 74-77 with depth and good spin, while also flashing a developing change-up. Works with easy effort to produce his present velocity, indicating that there could be quite a bit more in the coming years.
Broad and sturdy 6-foot-4, 205-pound body that is well-proportioned and strong throughout. Tomlinson is one of the top uncommitted senior pitchers in the East Bay and in the Northern half of the state. One of the more impressive pens at this event and it builds on previous good looks of Tomlinson. First thing that jumps out, aside from his impressive body, is the heaviness of his stuff, particularly the fastball that at times was like a bowling ball. Pitches from 1st base side of rubber, hooks edge of rubber with cleats. Timing of delivery is good and direction is on-line to the plate, with firm/stable landing. Timing of long backside arm action with foot strike allows him to get out to an out front release point, creating that heavy action and length through the zone. Change-up is a potential well-above average pitch at college level and excellent look off the fastball. Slider feel and action better than curveball, which was mostly slider-like. Can improve the breaking ball by settling on one of them, allowing for double the reps.

PBR N CA Uncommitted Senior Games - Big burly body type, looks the part of prototypical innings eater at 6-foot-4 200-pounds, developed lower body with a broad upper body. Maintains good body control in deliberate delivery, calm out of the glove with a slightly slowed arm action the backside. Good direction, creates stability for consistent release point. Arm action works from mid-3/4 slot and somewhat of a pronation through the finish. Gets unhinged from rubber well with chest getting over the front knee. Fastball has some length into zone but there is more life and velocity in that body and arm action. Spins the curveball well with break late enough into zone to start bats. Can sink it and also use the change-up. Body control and general strength, along with easy arm action all suggest there is 4-6 more MPH in there. When it comes out, time will tell.

BAWS 2019 - Large frame, lean with high waist and length in limbs; projectable build that has some growth still left in it. Athletic, repeatable delivery keeping hands at his chest as he works through side step; arm is long out of the glove working to a 3/4 slot showing good hands speed through the baseball. Stays online with front leg showing strength in it able to brace. FB 81-83 T84 showing small arm side run and some angle to the glove side; able to move the pitch and set up offspeed. CHG 74-75 with late bottom at the plate; good feel for the pitch able to change depth to get swing and miss. CB 68-71 showed slurvy 11/4 shape with slow, continuous shape; pitch had better action when he threw it with more emphasis rather than guiding it. Able to pitch to contact and get out of runners on base with timely double plays and swing and miss. Frame has chance for arm to be a late bloomer.
