2/20/19 - at Petaluma - Santa Clara signee; lean angular 6-foot-0, 180-pounds, had a solid game, displayed the catch/throw skills (best pop was 2.11 on the money in game action) and some of the arm strength (74 mph) that drew some college attention. Squats with good strength and agility, nice subtle shifts and hands are soft. Offensively he has a solid base to hit from and employs a fairly wristy stroke, mostly to the pull-side in this viewing. There is some potential for a bit of pop, particularly to the pull-side. Good field presence, worked really well with the pitcher. Went 0-for-3 in the game but found a couple of barrels, including one deep foul ball that was homer distance, and also a well struck L5.

7/14-7/15/18: Medium long frame with present strength; mature build with athleticism throughout. Simple offensive setup keeping the bat on the back shoulder before lifting and launching; showed balance throughout swing with a lofty bat that produced raw pull power. Showed power in game turning on pitch and driving well past LF fence; strong rounds of BP and measurables including a 94 mph exit velocity. Defensively showed an arm that flashed above average with quick release (1.94-2.00 Pop); really let arm loose during workouts. Flashes of blocking and receiving skills in games and during workouts. Athletic out of box with quick to full-speed underway; ran 6.95 60-yd dash.
6/1/18-6/3/18 @ BAWS 2018 - Lean and wiry strong with baseball type 6-foot-0 160-pound body. One of the better catching prospects in Northern California in the 2019 class. Tall narrow stance with high front leg lift for timing. Loads into back leg with front leg up, firing hands upon foot down; looks to lift ball to pull side showing raw strength in pull side as well. In game showed ability to let ball get deep and drive to right field. Very quick transitions for average arm; on base with a few high throws (1.9-2.0 Pop). Aggressive out of box with shorter stride.
