High waist, long frame with present strength (8.15 60yd). Balanced, high hands stance controlling the front leg lifting on stride; hands show quick load getting momentum. Quick hands with ability to lift balls to the gaps; barrel has upward path finishing high with two-hand finish flashing some pop pullside (84 EV). Quick footwork being able to keep them under him with smooth transition; arm strength can continue to improve allowing for current accuracy to play up even more (70 C, 2.15-2.28 Pop).
9/14/19
Uncommitted. Six-foot, 190-pounds. Medium frame with high waist and strength in the lower half and strength in the sloped shoulders. Choppy footed runner with some agility in his gait. Implements a balanced stance at the plate with even hands with a high back elbow. Bat has some whippines through the zone allowing him to drive balls to the gaps with excellent use of the lower half. Defensively he shows a quiet, relaxed setup with quickness in his footwork and compact arm through to a high 3/4 release point. Did an excellent job in-game of framing/sticking pitches earning his pitchers called strikes. Shows the ability to setup hitters and putting his pitchers in a position to be successful
1/13/19 - Central Valley Preseason ID - Medium frame with high waist and thickness in lower half; sloped shoulder showing strength in the upper half. Heavy runner with short steps; more agile than straightaway speed (8.04 60 yd dash). Balanced stance with even hands and high back elbow set up as hands work back with slight knee tuck. Quick bat has whip through the zone with ability to spray line drives gap-to-gap while having strong usage of lower half (86 exit velo). Quiet, relaxed catching stance with quick footwork and compact arm feeding ball back to center; times where he spins off front leg causing throws to be inaccurate (68 mph, 2.09-2.23 pop). Really shined with his receiving skills as he worked very hard to help out his pitchers and utilized strong blocking to keep all pitches in front of him.
