1/5/19- SoCal Preseason All-State - 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, long and lanky, highly projectable pitchers build with plenty of room for growth. Mature mechanics and feel from a high three-quarter arm slot. Features loose and repeatable arm action with easy effort. High leg lift and glove tap to a balanced finish with the head, arm and legs inline. Fastball features heavy natural run and plus command. Curveball and change-up velocity difference were on point and are both quality high school pitches. Elimination of the glove tap, fine-tuning of off-speed pitches and a velocity jump could make him a high draft pick.
1/5/19 - SoCal Preseason All-State Quick Hits - Hamro came in as known name for our scouts and he didn't disappoint on the mound where his live, loose arm was on display. Shows very good feel for a three-pitch mix with his fastball touching 91 mph on the day. It was his changeup that flashes plus potential at 78-81 mph that left our team of scouts intrigued and impressed. At 6-foot-5, 185-pounds, Hamro has plenty of room to fill out and add strength which will likely add velocity to his game too.
