SoCal Preseason All State - Six-foot-3, 185 pounds. Has a larger, wiry strong frame that is long and lean, athletic, young body that projects for added strength with continued physical maturity. Started the day off by running a 7.33 60-yard dash. He operates from a slightly open stance, with hands in ready position, and a very simple load. Has a very smooth left-handed swing. Is compact at the plate, line drive hitter with ability to spray the ball to all fields. From the outfield he registered an 84 mph velocity. Has a longer throwing motion, throwing from a arm angle. He makes accurate throws and has life and carry on the ball. He shows a strong and accurate arm and doesn't exert much effort in his motion. He shows good athleticism and covers a lot of ground with longer strides, does a nice job of getting behind the ball and using his present lower half strength to deliver the ball to the intended target.

PBR CA STATE GAMES -XL lanky and long frame with lean current strength. Frame projects well for next level with space for added strength. Hands start at the back shoulder with loft through the zone showing quick hands and the ability to drive the ball into gaps; picked up multiple hits including extra-base hits. Played in both OF and at 1st showing strong bag presence and the athletic ability to go get the ball in the corner OF spots. On the hill for two innints with 2 walks, 1 K. From stretch, worked with high front knee and was aggressive down the hill with rotational movements upon finish; can continue to smooth out motion for better transfer of energy. Arm has length stabbing out of glove before getting full swing to H-3/4 release; angle of release leads to downward angle through the zone. FB 80-82 able to spot to multiple locations using that angle well. SLD 66-67 with 3/4 blend showing late bend into and through the zone. CHG 76 arm side usage.

6 foot 3, 185 pounds large frame, wiry strength, long and lean, athletic young body. He had a good day at the plate recording one single but the at-bat was great. He foul off 4 pitches and then worked to an 8 pitch at-bat that culminated in a ripped single. Turned on an inside fastball ripped it threw the 5-6 hole. Really showed good plate discipline and the ability to foul off the tough pitch. Played first base and showed some nice lateral movement. Works well around the bag but his future might be in the outfield. Intriguing because of his lithe frame as he has projection to add strength.

SoCal Preseason All-State Quick Hits - Ross is a long, lean, loose outfielder that does a lot of things well and will likely be a coveted recruit in short order. Shows feel for a three pitches on the mound, but his future could very likely be in the outfield where he covers a lot of ground with the long strides from his 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame. Shows a strong, accurate arm that doesn't have much effort in the throws. Registered an 84 mph positional velocity on the day. Shows sneaky power from the left side at the plate too.
