vs Clovis HS in championship game of Fresno Easter Classic - Fresno State commit; Kendrick was just about the entire story in this game. He came out firing for Buhach Colony, with a fastball at 90-91 mph and he never backed off. Threw a complete game, with 7 K, BB, 4 H (only one hard hit ball). He was up to 92 in the 5th inning and still at 91 mph in the 7th inning. He mixed in a handful of change-ups but otherwise it was ALL fastballs, in, out, up, down, with lots of life and movement. He was aggressive and energetic and yet calm all at the same time and his team fed of that. For good measure, Kendrick hit in the top third of the line-up and went 1-for-2, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB. Has been some scout follow up of him this spring and this performance very well could push his name up the boards a bit, looks like a future 92-95 mph arm at Fresno State.
7/13/18
USA PDP - Fresno State commit. Strong compact body type, average build. Good delivery, on-line, quick arm overhand slot, plus extension adds life to all pitches, looks like a polished pro type delivery and arm action. Fastball up to 89 and occasionally heavy action, went inside vs right-handers well and at will, late bite on power curveball with 11/5 action at times looks slider-ish but feels like he's throwing a curveball, usable change-up as quality third pitch, can mix all and can also attack with his feel for the ball. Best repertoire and usability of that repertoire of all pitches at this workout. Three batter outing (K CB, F8 change-up, 1B on CB), faced three quality hitters in Joseph King, Marinconz, and Martorella.
