2022 SS/3B Jakob Poturnak (Xavier) always stands out fairly quickly for the North Shore Twins. Whether it's fielding a ground ball cleanly, taking a big swing or making loud contact, he always looks the part of one of the best players on the field. 6-foot-1, 185-pounds and he manned third base throughout the week, consistently making the plays and displaying some arm strength. Although he didn't appear much in the box score, there were still quality at-bats and pitch recognition, rarely being fooled on a pitch.

Poturnak is an excellent all-around player out of the North Shore Twins organization. Defensively, he has a set of slick hands and a quick throwing arm. He runs well, running a 7.25 on a slow and wet outfield track on this day, and moves around the infield well with clean footwork and good footwork approaching groundballs. His swing is pretty to watch. He syncs up well with his forward move, swinging through the footstrike and getting extended through pitches well. He shows nice rhythm and is fluid with his movement in the box. He shows good direction, and he is an athletic mover on the ball diamond. At 6-foot-1 185lbs, he has a bit of size and will only get quicker and more robust with age. Good looking ballplayer; watch for more.
