Formerly the No. 4 ranked player in British Columbia’s 2021 class. The 6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitter took a polished round of BP. His stroke is simple and uses the ground through impact, staying on the barrel to his pull-side and to the opposite field. On the infield, he showed steady actions and a strong arm up to 87 mph.

Lamothe is arguably the best athlete in the class. A plus runner at a 6.5 60, Lamothe shows his athleticism all over the field, as he falls into the “super-utility” category of players. Jaden catches, picks it on the infield, and runs it down in the outfield. It is tough to tell where he may end up position-wise at the next level, but regardless his bat will keep him in the lineup. Lamothe has one of the best right-handed swings in the class, has power potential and catches barrels to all fields in the game. One of Canada’s most intriguing prospects, Lamothe will be a good follow to see how far his tools will take him.

Jaden Lamothe 2021 Langley Blaze product standing 6-foot 165-pounds passes the eye test when he's on the field. Tall athletic frame on this young 2021 grad, a dual guy showed good tools from the OF tracking fly balls well with good speed for his age running a 7.16-second 60 and showed a good arm hitting 77 mph. On the mound he shows good feel for his pitches running his FB up to 75 mph, a good 11/5 CB in the 62-64 mph range, and showed a developing CH 64-6 mph with late fade down in the zone. At the plate Lamothe was impressive for his age showing some pop in his bat with an exit velo of 86 mph producing a lot of hard contact. One to follow as the tools are all there, projects as a big bat outfielder at the next level.
