At 6-foot-5, 205-pounds, Saul easily meets the eye test when you see him walk into the park, and still has room to add strength and get stronger as he is only in his junior high school season. Impressive with the ease in which he worked with at the ProCase, the fastball sat 87-89 and was up to 90 mph while he mixed in both a slider and changeup that had feel and action as he lived predominantly down in the zone during his two innings of work. The arm is loose and clean in the back with whippy action out front, slider should add velocity and it had late action with more 10/4 shape and chance to be swing and miss down the road. Saul showed confidence in game with his changeup, throwing multiple times in is two innings. It worked out of same slot as fastball and his best changeups had late action down in the zone at 76-78 mph. Chance to be a three-pitch guy at the collegiate level and potential front-end starter at the Division 1 level, the stuff plays and the feel in which he showed for the strike zone is a very encouraging sign in a high school junior. Saul is an arm that coaches will want to see sooner than later.
