A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+

10/14/18
10/14/18 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Shows some offensive ability, with a solid base and on plane swing. Some length in back side. Significant offensive improvement since our last look. Consistently found barrel during his round of BP; 80mph exit velocity. Shows some rigidity defending on the infield. Feet work well to the ball at times, but tend to stop from there, standing straight up to throw at 73 mph across the diamond. Ran 7.76 60 yd dash.
12/27/17
12/27/17 - 5-foot-11, 145-pound frame. Good looking high-waisted body for a freshman prospect. Defensively shows some softness in his hands on the infield and turned in 71 mph infield velocity. . Will improve as he quickens his transfer and arm action loosens up. Hits from balanced, athletic setup, rocking back to load and finishing high with both hands on the bat. Will make more consistent hard contact with better use of his back side; 77 mph exit velocity. 8.07 60-yard dash.
